I've always wanted to try infrared photography, but am yet to get an infrared filter for my Nikon. However, by playing around in Photoshop's channel mixer, and adding some other effects, you can simulate the infrared effect in which your greens turn white and everything has sort of a surreal look. This isn't as good as a real infrared photo, but it's still kinda neat.
