Day 116 - On the Farm

When it rains, it pours. Another trip to my mother-in-law's farm in Greenup County, Ky., and the place is a photo haven. In fact, there's so much there, I decided to make a web gallery of Sunday's pics so I wouldn't have to post so many on here. The one I posted was a really old tractor that they still use.

Those photos take me back to the days when my grandparents ran the farm. My uncle now has new equipment and, when the old barn started leaning, he pulled it down and actually burned the wood. I still shudder to think of it. I used to climb on my Papaw's old tractor and other farm equipment that was so old they were once pulled by horses or mules. I remember one had a really bouncy, springy seat and was a lot of fun, but Mom freaked out when she saw me on it because the seat bounced above several rows of blades meant for tilling.
